Jump Ringer System - High Production

The High Production Jump Ringer System is the most efficient option for making jump rings. With one pass of the saw, hundreds of jump rings are cut and ready to be used in your jewelry. I typically make many jump rings of different gauges and types of wire all in one session. The jump rings are then labeled in bags and I draw from this supply for months at a time.

The Jump Ringer Systems (both High Production and Standard models) require a motor to operate them. The manufacturer is specific about what motor should be used to power the equipment. He recommends the Foredom Flex shaft.

To keep the motor cool and to extend the life of your blade, use a stick lubricant such as Cut Lube. The stick is applied to the coil before cutting. Instructions are provided with Jump Ringer System.

You will need long mandrels about 15” long to make your coils. The High Production Jump ringer System comes with 3 mandrels. You may want to consider purchasing a set of long mandrels if you plan to make jump rings of varying sizes.

The following pictures are meant to help you get a better idea what the High Production Jump Ringer System looks like when it is ready to operate.

Drill Stand
The drill stand holds your reversible, electric drill (hopefully you already have one) in place while you make your coils. Instructions in the kit will outline how to connect your drill to the flex shaft foot pedal, thus enabling you to power the drill by foot. This leaves your hands free to coil. It is a little difficult to see, but there is a mandrel extending out of the chuck.

Coil Holder
This is what cradles the wire coil. A plate with a vertical grove covers the coil holder. The copper coil in this image is much shorter than what I would ordinarily use.

Blade Arbor with Blade and Blade Guide
Instructions in your kit will show how to assemble these parts.
